The Cottages
These homes reflect the craftsman era of coved ceilings, and wood paneling detailed by milled trim and paned glass. The character of the original homes is preserved while updating with today’s modern amenities. Preserving the large yards, trees, surrounding vineyards and barn, the cottages let you peek back in time. Retreat to privacy, quaintness and warmth. Accept our invitation to explore, relax, and enjoy the abundance of our fertile, food growing region.

The History
Starting with dreams of owning a vineyard and inn keeping more than 30 years ago, the owners have restored the property to its original natural beauty, harvesting the grapes and fruit and growing food on the original parcel. The cottage style home has been a work of love and place of restoration for the past 15 years. There is joy in watching the seasons change in the vineyard, reminding you of the cycle of growth, fruitfulness, harvest, and rest. The homes are surrounded by plantings, large trees. and vineyards. The grapes go to one of more than 60 local wineries. Sitting under the arbor and walking through the vineyards reminds us of a lifestyle of the past, when most of what you needed was grown at home and staying home was peaceful and productive.

We want to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We ask for courteous respect for neighbors and the property, so that others can enjoy the unique opportunity of staying in the Cottages on Armstrong

All cottages are non-smoking facilities. We also ask for you to take care in keeping the grounds and area clean and free from materials harmful to the ground and ecosystems that exist in our local vineyards. We practice composting and plantings with soil health and biodiversity in mind that encourage healthy farming practices and safe groundwater.

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds given up to ten days prior to your arrival date, less a $30.00 cancellation charge per cottage. With less than seven days notice, refunds possible only if rooms can be re-booked. If we are unable to re-book your room, a one-night stay will be charged to your credit card.

Large Group (Weddings, Family Reunions, Corporate Events) Policy:
We would like to welcome your group to Cottages on Armstrong. So that they (and you and we) enjoy their stay, we ask that you follow the following policies:

Large groups are defined as groups that require two (2) or more cottages (of our total of three) rented by (or on behalf of) the same party or event (wedding, family reunion, corporate event, etc.). All large group rentals must be pre-approved at the time of reservation (to avoid confusion later).

There is a requirement of an advance and non-refundable (except as noted below) payment of 50% (one half) of the total anticipated room rental and local tax for multi-night stays; the remainder is due 14 days before check-in. The balance will be charged to the same credit card that was used for your advance payment unless other arrangements have been made. For one (1) night large group stays, we require 100% of the amount (also non-refundable) be paid at time of reservation.

Cancellations that are made 60 or more days before the scheduled group arrival will result in partial refund of the advance payment, minus a charge of $50 per cottage (to cover processing costs).

Partial cancellations and changes of reservation dates may not be accepted due to availability and minimum stay requirements. Refunds for early departures (minus a $50 per cottage fee) will only be made after the room has been rebooked for the remaining days of the reservation.

There also will be a refundable $150 per cottage cleaning deposit required. The cleaning deposit will be refunded at the time of check-out, after the rooms are inspected and no significant “difficulties” are identified.

You are responsible for any damage to the property caused by any member of your group.

Please be respectful of our rules and not spoil our current approach for others. Guests who cannot abide by our policies will be asked to leave with no refunds.
